  • Brookside Gardens

This Recreational Park has a variety of activities for everyone in the family to love! They have hiking, biking, miniature golf, swimming, soccer, picnicking, and various other activities that will bring the family together!   • Go Ape Treetop Adventure Park

  • C&O Canal National Historic Park

This old canal, now a historic park, was used to transport lumber and agricultural products to the markets. Now, you can hike along its trails and admire its natural beauty with the whole family!   • Experience Trail

The Experience Trail takes you and your family back in time to the Quaker settlements and the free black community of its time. They have an Underground Railroad Experience Trail, allowing you to feel as if you are going through the Underground Railroad. The trial allows you to have self-guided hikes, but also allows the option of having a conductor guide you and tell interesting stories about the road to freedom.
